Welcome to Cardiovascular Imaging eLearning, a platform providing a comprehensive yet simple understanding of the use of different techniques for imaging the heart and vascular system in patients with different clinical presentations.
ABOUT
The last twenty years have seen a rapid development of cardiovascular imaging with advances in CT (Computed Tomography), MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), and PET-CT with continued development in echocardiography and invasive angiography. This platform describes the different clinical cardiac presentations and the best use of the different imaging techniques for these presentations discussing their strengths and limitations based on the current evidence base.
The project is led by Dr. Tarun K Mittal, Consultant Cardiac Radiologist at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust in London, UK with a contribution by experts in cardiology, cardiac surgery, imaging, and medical physics. The clinical and cardiac CT resources are being developed first with others following in due course. The platform is open to anyone who is interested in learning about cardiovascular imaging.
